Science in the service of our community
Think that only scientists can push back the boundaries of knowledge? Think again! You could make a valuable contribution to the advancement of knowledge in your community.
Certain research and educational projects undertaken in universities and colleges call on the general public to help with certain tasks. This is known ascitizen science (or participatory science).
This participation can take various forms. For example, it may involve collecting data in the field or sharing your experience, depending on the topic under study. In other cases, you might be tasked with answering a detailed survey, taking part in group discussions or testing a new approach.
This research is always subject to clear and express ethical guidelines.
Research also often takes place in collaboration with local organizations, resulting in concrete benefits for the Estrie community.
